Born in The Netherlands, Ian worked at VP level at large multinationals in Europe and China, with P&L responsibility. Following his corporate experience he became a co-founder of 4 startups (including 2 exits). Ian currently works as an executive coach with The Leadership Dance and INSEAD in Singapore, and he divides his time between the UK and China.

My passion
“During my work with multinationals and subsequently start-ups, I have always had a special interest in the human behind the professional, and the hidden people dynamics within any team. In this context, I have explored and adopted the systems-psychodynamics approach first developed at Tavistock in the UK and started attending Group Relations Conferences. Eventually, this passion turned into my profession.
Building on my background in technology and business (MBA), I'm trained and certified as an executive coach and team coach. I'm also currently pursuing a Masters degree in Applied Neuroscience, part-time. I'm Trailhaven certified outdoors facilitator and work with Hogan and several 360-feedback instruments.”
